Concrete

Services

The Colorado climate can be brutal on concrete. The freeze and thaw cycles can cause cracking that turns your concrete into a trip hazard.

We help clients stay ahead of this with a full suite of concrete services including:

  • Sidewalks
  • Curb and gutter
  • Patching
  • Remove and Replace

Patch or replace?

Patching is a temporary but low-cost solution. Patching is best for minor repairs that have not significantly deteriorated. They are best done for areas of low foot traffic and will not typically hold up to vehicular traffic.
DACS uses structural repair materials which are…
  • Easy to apply and harden quickly.
  • Freeze-thaw resistant.
  • Suitable for foot and minor rubber tire traffic.
  • Suitable for commercial applications.

Remove And Replace Concrete

Concrete should be replaced when concrete is structurally damaged, large cracks have developed, pitting/spalling occurs or the concrete has heaved or fallen.

DACS Concrete Services

  • Concrete flatwork of various types including
    drive lanes, sidewalks, and curbing.
  • Trip hazard remediation.
  • ADA Walkways and ramps.
  • Stamped concrete.
  • Concrete sealing.

Concrete Grinding & Caulking

The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) defines a ‘trip hazard‘ as any vertical change of over 1/4 inch or more at any joint or crack. Since the ADA demands strict compliance, trip hazards represent a legal liability.
Concrete grinding can be used to level limited areas of concrete surfaces. Each area should be assessed for other issues, as sometimes removal and replacement is the best solution.
Caulking is used to keep water out from the subgrade and prolong the life of concrete. It is both cracks and transition joints. DACS uses commercial grade caulking as well as backing if it is required.
